IS A MIND-BODY PROGRAM

Laughter and the breathing of laughter yoga brings you totally into the present moment, as you can't laugh and breathe in the past or future

IS A FORM OF SOCIALITY

If laughter can't solve your problems, it will dissolve them by changing your body chemistry and mindset so that you can better face them

IS A DAILY ROUTINE

The more you welcome laughter in your life, the more laughter you will encounter into your life

Unleash the Power of Laughter

Laughter Yoga, a unique mind-body practice developed by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1995, offers a range of benefits for both your mental and physical well-being. Here's how incorporating Laughter Yoga into your routine can enhance your life.

Reduced Anxiety

Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, natural mood elevators that combat stress hormones like cortisol. This leads to a feeling of relaxation and overall improved well-being.

Boosted Immunity

Studies suggest laughter yoga can strengthen your immune system by increasing the production of infection-fighting antibodies.

Improved Physical Health

Laughter yoga incorporates breathing exercises that enhance oxygen intake and improve blood circulation. It can also help relax muscles and may even reduce pain perception.

Stronger Social Bonds

Laughter is contagious! Participating in laughter yoga with others creates a sense of community and connection, fostering positive social interactions.

Elevated Mood

Laughter yoga helps cultivate a more optimistic outlook by promoting the release of happy hormones like dopamine and serotonin. This can lead to a more positive and joyful state of mind.

Overall Well-being

By combining the physical benefits of exercise with the emotional benefits of laughter, laughter yoga can contribute to a healthier and happier you.

WHY IS LAUGHTER SO HEALTHY?

Laughter-yoga (Hasyayoga) is a mind-body practice developed by an Indian physician, Dr. Madam Kataria, who in 1995 first started this social form of laughter. By conducting both breathing and laughing exercises he made the natural human act of laughing a real social program to be practiced to increase people's mental and physical well-being.

The underlying concept of Laughter-yoga is based on scientific studies that have proven that for our body there is no difference between intentional and real laughter. One gets the same physiological and psychological benefits, because "the mind does not bother that we're faking it". Have you ever heard the sentence "laughter is the best medicine"? Well, it's true.

Not only has laughter numerous benefits on our social life by increasing our relational interactions, but it also contributes to our physical health: in fact laughter boosts our immune system, lowers stress hormones, decreases pain, relaxes muscles, and even helps prevent heart disease. 10-15 minutes of laughing every day are highly effective on our health.
